Dr. Timothy P. Loughlin, PT, DPT

Dr. Timothy P. Loughlin, PT, DPT, graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, being accepted into the honors program and graduating with a BS in Rehabilitation Science. He continued at Northeastern University completing his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2009. While attending Northeastern University, he had the opportunity to complete three clinical rotations at outpatient clinics at Bay State Physical Therapy in Plymouth, MA, and Select Physical Therapy in Peoria, AZ. He also completed his final clinical rotation at Charleton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA.
Upon graduation, he has worked at various outpatient clinics among the Baltimore region, focusing on orthopedic and sports injuries, from the weekend warrior to professional and Olympic athletes, including professional ballet dancers and circus performers. Dr. Loughlin is also a clinical instructor for the University of Maryland – Baltimore, Shenandoah University, Slippery Rock University, and Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles, CA.
Dr. Loughlin’s treatment focuses on progressive, manual therapy and functional exercises to return patients to their previous level of function as quickly as possible. Dr. Loughlin believes in not only treating, but educating patients in conjunction with their rehabilitation to help prevent re-injury, and maximize performance whether it is to return to driving a car or driving a golf ball. His continuing education includes but not limited to the ACL reconstruction, advanced treatments in the foot and ankle, cervical and thoracic manual therapy, and dry needling.

Jeff's experience with physical therapy began as a patient himself, while playing baseball and running competitively. His interest in sports rehab led to a job as a clinic assistant in high school, and that exposure confirmed to him that physical therapy was what he wanted to pursue for his career.
Jeff attended High Point University in North Carolina on scholarship for Track and Cross Country, also receiving his Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science while competing at a high level in running which would become an area of expertise. He returned to Canada and earned a Master's of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Upon graduation, Jeff achieved the Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy earning him a Fellowship from the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT) and maintains his fellowship through the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT).
In addition to manual therapy, Jeff is certified in Dry Needling, is CrossFit Level I coach certified, and has taken courses in running Injury management, concussion management, vestibular management, and others. Jeff has experience in teaching and mentorship

Dan graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, and earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland Baltimore. While in school, Dan completed clinical internships in a variety of settings including outpatient orthopedics, neurologic, and acute rehabilitation. He has a special interest in post-operative rehabilitation, return-to-sport, and working with active individuals.
Dan is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association with experience working as a Personal Trainer. He is also a certified Sports Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting. Dan has taken courses through Myopain in Dry Needling, through the Postural Restoration Institute, and has earned the SFMA Level 1 certification through Functional Movement Systems.
